Synopsis

The Mainland-Hong Kong Closer Economic Partnership Arrangement “CEPA”, was signed June 29th 2003, and formally came into effect January 1st 2004. This landmark free trade agreement between Hong Kong and China provides market liberalization commitments towards Hong Kong – ahead of and beyond China’s World trade Organization (WTO) commitments.
